Before you book
When is the season?
Humpbacks fill the waters of Vava'u from mid-July through October, when mothers, calves and heat runs are at their peak.
Warm, calm water
Water temperature sits around 77°F (25°C). All encounters are on snorkel — no dive certification needed, and snorkeling keeps you at whale level.
Small groups by law
Tonga law allows a maximum of 4 guests in the water with a whale at a time — which is exactly why our boats carry only 4 or 6 passengers.
